A Look Back...At Last, Pt. 7 - DC Talk
[Instrumental version of "Socially Acceptable" by DC Talk starts]

TobyMac: Most of you might know now, I have a company called Gotee Records, which the name originally came from the song "Socially Acceptable." Actually, Coffee and, uh, Bone from GRITS, we were in doin' a background vocal on "Socially Acceptable," and, um, one of the things we were saying during the rap—uh, "Socially Acceptable," the B-section—"Society has gotten to be all outta wack." You can hear, uh, Coff, myself, maybe T.C., Todd Collins, and Tyron, Bone, saying, "Let it go, T., let it go. Let it go, T., let it go." And at the time, ya know, I was wearin' a goatee on my face, so between them saying, "Let it go, T., let it go," and the goatee on my face—that was growing on my face—Mark Heimermann said, "That should be the name of your label—Gotee." *chuckles* From then on, uh, Gotee Productions became Gotee Records, and the rest is history.
