Gazing through the realm of history
And I stopped to see
How God's children suffered at another’s hand
Their chains and shackles
Made them pray intensively

And remove them from this land
Being tired of trials great and strong
How they long to come out of slavery, yeah
But God had plans
To help them escape this wrong
So He moved through a man

Jesus died to set you free

We face currently
How it reaches every one of every race
The bondage of this day has such immensity
And some who live in chains
Refuse to seek God's face
