[Verse]
Okay, when I was young, people thought I was the son of Satan
'Cause, when they asked me what my age is, I'm like si-, si-, six
Diagnosed with a speech impediment at seven
Certain sentences and letters made me s- s- st- stutter when I said 'em
Said I wouldn't stand another second stammerin'
So I sewed my pair of lips together and I wouldn't speak shsh
Stand in front of class scared as shit had to say a speech Purposely forgot the words, teacher tells me to take a seat
Asked me "What's the matter?"
But I'm scared to tell her that my cerebellum and my tongue are in a tug of war
And no one's winnin', I stick to silence, it's so simple
Words in my head, stay strapped till I leak them onto paper, pencil
Forming you to poetry, listenin' to Nas
Then read it back out loud not knowing that I was flowin'
I was rappin and noticed somthin' that happened
Putting words inside of rhythm and hittin' a certain pattern made it effortless for me to just say anything I wanted
Ain't no stoppin', ain't no pausin'
Ain't no commas in my monologue
Accepted my difference, embraced and made it positive
A--mazing what confidence can make you accomplish. uh
Now I'm spitting s's with the essence of a serpent
Ssssss--seek the syllabus I'm serving several syllables
A sinister citizen sent to sentence the city
Aend the masses in the ash, fire started like a Cyndaquil
Huh, chopping soft C's like waves
Yhese sentences just used to be strenuous
Now it's sea-saws, swing-sets, sling-shots, so simple child's play
Singing "She sells sea shells by the sea shore!"
I'm sick of simpletons, spittin' simple synonyms
Challenge yourself, and I ain't talkin' spoons with cinnamon
