Country Thang John Michael Montgomery

Country Thang - John Michael Montgomery
Bring it on to me

We're backwoods Dixie, flat woods picking
Shotgun waving, long-neck drinking
Hunting an' a-fishing, working an' a-wishing for the weekend

We say, "Yes ma'am, no ma'am, sir, can I lend a hand?"
An' take a stand for something we believe in
An' love an' pray an' do anything for a good friend

We like camp fires burning, buttermilk churning
Old folks, dirt roads winding an' a-turning
To a muddy creek, jumping from a talltree into the deep end

That's a country thang
People who don't live it might just think we've gone insane
But those of us down home
An' we can stand right up an' say
It's a country thang

We like moonlite sipping, late skinny-dipping
Flat rock skipping, catfish hitting
Sitting on a creek bank, sun's up but we ain't leaving

We like country twang, an' good southern rocking
Fun in the Sun on the bass boat docking
Home-made wine an' a mess of fish frying an' then a hot pan
