Ok, so "Wind It Up" is the craziest video and song situation that happened the entire first season of "Todrick"—which is still weird for me to say. I got to surprise Vonzell in the episode and let her know that she was gonna be singing the song with me; she had no idea.
So, I went into the studio and immediately I started coming up with this concept of these dolls that had fallen in the real world and had been killed and have, like, now been resurrected as toys, which was a really weird, creepy thought, but I was like, "I think I'm onto something."
This song had an emotional connection for Vonzell and I and I'm so glad I got to sing this duet with somebody who's one of my best friends and one of the most talented vocalists I know. I love this song so much and I'm so glad that you guys got to hear it.
