I wrote "Someone Else" with one of my best friends, Brett. His artist name is Leland, and he's an amazing writer. Looking back, I realise now how many of his songs I have been listening to, while growing up to be the musician that I am today. He is a true inspiration. "Someone Else" was a fun session at Brett's place, and we kind of built the song around the hook, like the, [Sung] "With someone else!" That part. We really tried to have a poetic approach when it came to the verses and I think they are really pretty, actually. The track may sound like one of the most poppiest tunes of the album, but the message it has is really deep. And to me, maybe one of the most open and honest songs that I've ever written.
