Guided meditation can be a great way to unwind, refocus, and rejuvenate
It can also be a way to help you connect with parts of your body
The mind and body are connected
If the mind is racing but the body is at peace, this can be a source of disharmony
So every once in a while, we need to focus on calibrating our mind and body
A body scan is a great way to experience your body from the inside and tune in to its subtle sensations
Let's start by taking a few deep breaths and allow these breaths to carry you through the entire experience of this meditation
(Body Scan)
Now let's take a moment to scan our bodies, pausing at each area of our body as we go
Start at your toes
What do you feel?
Maybe there is a tangling sensation or maybe you don't notice anything at all
Notice the spaces between your toes
Now direct your focus to your left foot, right foot
Your ankles, do they feel heavy or light?
Left leg, left thigh
As you move through each part of your body, notice whatever sensations come up for you
Whether it's tightness or tension, an itch or ache
Any motion or something else entirely
Now to your right leg, right thigh
Breathing can help relax even our most stubborn muscles
Now to your waist, and your stomach, soften your belly
Keep breathing in and out
Feel your belly filled with air, and now let it go
