It’s not easy being green
Having to spend each day the colour of the leaves
I think it would be nicer being red, or yellow, or gold
Something more colourful like that

It’s not easy being green
Seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over ’cause you’re not sparkles on the water
Or stars in the sky

But green’s the colour of Spring
Green can be cool and friendly-like
Green could be big like a mountain, important like a river, or tall like a tree

Well, green is all that I can be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder?
I’m green
It’s beautiful!
I think it’s what I want to be
