My Grandpa, he died, and he loved music
He got my Mom...)
When I was young my elders taught me right
They told me to be kind and polite
I grew up gracious, living by the golden rule
I never doubted words to be untrue
(I am working on a story:
A ballerina, a skeleton, a blackbird
Scary trees that don't know how to be scary, an owl
And one of them had to go get some carrots
They were making over something over the fireplace...)
Now I have come across more teachers since
And I myself have taught hard lessons to good kids
I Pray to God to show me how to love
(Hey Charlie, How are you doing?
Excited for the first day of preschool today?)
And I am no scholar
But how would that change
What I know?
