So as i staggered down to brown street, almost half four in the morning
Trying to flag a taxi down, either full or just ignoring
I met this guy, black coat and tie, he said “where you off to fella?”
You wanna get yoursen’ in here tonight but it’d be no change from a tenner

So i walked into the room and couldn’t believe what i saw
Yeah she had me at the first glance
I was trying to be smooth and headed off to the bar
Until she asked me if i’d like a dance

And i can’t believe it
Cos i was heading home alone and now she’s got me changing all my plans
