Exact same problems exist in different form
Same kinda culture but a slightly different norm
Don't hold history against 'em
No one needs to be fenced in
It's constant
Everyone in a varied state of progression
We're all created equal
Each got our own prequel
It's only fair that we should all get that sequel
Throwin' people in the fire
When we all should aspire
To inspire to acquire
The virtues that would change our attire
It's the same type of brand
Just a different label
Stop livin' in a dreamland
Or some kinda fable
When we gon' realize it's the man in the mirror
It's time to face ourselves it can't get any clearer
No one's really a hero no one's truly a villain
Just that some did more and some did less of the killin'
Please don't come at me with blind eyed conclusions
We all are a product of an illusion
Stop judging’ from our perspective
'Cause truth cannot be projected
Clarity should be our sole objective
How you and I can be truly connected
Love and patience is where we'll find answers
Hatred and violence are causin’ us cancers
I make mistakes and point fingers at others
What if instead I could see them as brothers
Realize that they too have fathers and mothers
This is the way we should treat one another
Through all the trials and tribulations
Make this an era for conversations
Let's put prosperity of mankind in place
Let's make a stand for a new kinda case
I don't believe it's you I need to face
