Honestly though, the homies were cool man. Introduced me to a lot of shit. If it wasn’t for the homies, I would have never gotten into J. Cole or Kendrick. I would have never known that microwaving chocopie for 20 seconds is delicious. I would have never gone to my first Lakers game, or had anyone to play beach volleyball with or even hoop with. Shit… Without the homies, I would have never smoked weed. I was straight up straight edge. The homies got me into cool shit, spend time with me when I felt lonely, and though I’m doing all right now, I know a lot of the reasons why I am able to be who I am now is because of the homies. The homies showed me love. The homies showed me respect. The homies made me realize in the power of brotherhood, much like the ones Jesus had with his disciples
