Last night I had the strangest dream
God said, "Prepare to die now
King Abimelech, oh, here’s why, now:
‘Cause you can’t choose Abraham’s wife for your queen"
She’s the one the Lord has chosen — what a bad scene!
And I said:

Ain’t nothin’ done with Abraham’s bride
I promise, and I won’t touch now — oh, no!
My God, You’ll see — I’ll prove it"

I’ve gone and told that now to Abraham
That dream of mine has rocked me
What’s now revealed has shocked me
He looked at me, and he seemed aghast
"Yes, that’s my sister, but she’s only my half"
And he said:
