There were moments in my past
When I felt free
Didn't have to answer anyone but me
But what that freedom really meant
Was that no one cared
But that's behind me
For now I live a life that's shared

Dwell in me, blessed Savior
Give me Your strength
That the victory be mine
Let me cease not in loving Thee
Who has given a gift so divine
Hear me, Lord, I pray
Let me glorify Your name
Draw me close to Your Spirit
Teach me the meaning of freedom
