(NARRATOR)
For three years after, Theodora held her ground. But a soul that is trammeled cannot be sustained. Under the pressure she became resolute. She was going to claw her way out, even if it was to become her own grave
(THEODORA)
Cornered by a mob
A forest of torches
That flicker in the eyes of a dozen witch-hunters
Smiling as they're chiding
Unaware that I’ve already died
(Her pulse as still as stone)
Just cause I need to
I need to be rescued
It doesn’t mean that I’m not stronger
If I can be see-through
With all that I’ve been through
It doesn’t mean that I’m not strong
Stronger than you!
I didn’t mean to be this kind of creature
The brain, the heart, the color or the features
Trapped inside and tied down
Bound by my own bones
A cell of stone
