Well it’s been a long year
We’ve seen rage and hate and everything
The preachers say to break
And I’ve had a hard time
All these screens pushing for war
Don’t know what to believe in anymore
I let the fear inside my bones
Keep drinking poison I can’t let this story go
Feed the monster that’s crushing all our souls
Overstimulated gotta get this in control

I just wanna take a break from everything
Let’s run away to a simple place
Where we’ll sit for hours and marvel at the stars
We’ll forget the narratives we made
All the judgments gone only love remains
On this simple place was in us from the start
The less we need the wealthier we are

Well it’s been a long year

So unraveling moments flying by

I let the chaos take control
No there’s no comfort anymore
Stuck foreboding once again
Let my mind space feel the burn of every blast
Feed the fire that’s raging in our heads
