Covered in moss and cypress and cedar
Eight valleys, eight hills
The size its body spans the great lengths of
Its eyes like red lanterns
Stomach bloody and inflamed
Eight daughters, eight years
One is taken every twelve months
It hungers for my children
Currently it has consumed
Seven of my offspring
Leaving only one
What the hell could I do
To ward off this giant monster?
