Looking back on yesterday
Pondering mistakes I've made
How could I let Jesus down again?
When He's been a friend to me
Closer than a friend could be

How He could love me so much
When I couldn't give enough
To merit the salvation that He gave
When He gave at Calvary
Denied Himself and thought of me

There is nothing we can do
Nothing old and nothing new
To compel the Lord to care for us

Tell me, how could Jesus lovе me
How could it be
The answеr is His love cannot be measured
And it is more than you'll ever know, no

When I think of what I've done
And how I've failed to overcome
It's very hard for me to understand
It's a love beyond compare
A love that's always there
