Seeing innocent civilians get murdered
Seeing the wage gap
Seeing the masses of homeless
And seeing the rich advance further
In their plan for dominance
In their plan for themselves
Greed has become prominent
And happiness the goal to sell
I seen one too many prostitutes
And I know the market ain’t stopping soon
Seeing children become drug addicts
Seeing deadbeat fathers make a habit
Of abandoning their kids
Making them feel like shit
Which in turn get the children to go plastic
God damnit
How long will this cycle continue
My heart breaks from the stories I hear
Of what certain people been through
Makes me sick
To see what the troubled and disenfranchised youth
Be getting themselves into
Laugh it off
Can’t you take a joke
Why so serious
Was it something that I spoke
