Emma Comes Home Steven McKay

Emma Comes Home - Steven McKay
Emma comes on the train soon and my heart goes boom-boom-boom
Godspeed the taxi that brings her home, so I can see my Emma
Emma comes on the train soon, as I waited here, I wrote this tune
I tried to write a sonnet too, but a madrigal should do fine

Emma comes on the train soon, as I look forward to the afternoon
We’ll sing and dance and perhaps I’ll croon, but for now I wait for Emma
Emma comes on the train soon and it might seem pretty dull to you
But to me the thought of Emma home is enough to make me sing
