1. i dreamt i dreamt you up to be something you’re not, a phantom that engulfed me into its arms but made sure i’m far enough that i don’t notice i’d fall right through.


2. i woke up into a paradox of the inside of my skull, it was a dream wrapped around another, a shape in the fog outlining everything you’re not.


3. i dreamt of you in a nightgown, wrapped up in bedsheets, kissing me good morning, your morning breath a tub of honey i soak in.


4. i don’t know why i keep dreaming of you unbound.


5. i dreamt a dream so big it could not fit us both, i bathed you in my words and dried you off with my thoughts.


6. we talked by the poolside about nothing, it was more than i wanted you to know.


7. i dreamt, and i dreamt, and i dreamt, my pupils shaking under my eyelids, making an alternate reality where your chest isn’t a net my skin cuts through, an alternate reality where your chest is somewhere i can tell my mother i’m going to.


8. i dreamt you up to be an entity that resides on the outskirts of my mind, an entity that i stumble upon when i am scouring the tiniest of thoughts.
