[Intro]
Do you know what a dream is?
To have dreams, to have dreams
To have dreams, to have dreams
To have dreams, to have dreams
To have dreams, to have dreams
A dream's like, almost like when you're thinking but there kind of different things
Which dream do you like the best?
Which dream do you like the best?
What's your favorite dream?
What's your favorite dream?
What's your favorite dream?
Seems like you have a rеally smart way of dealing with bad dreams, that's nice
Bad drеams, bad dreams, bad dreams, bad dreams
But what do these reoccurring dreams really mean?
All these dreams do come from specific experiences or places
To have dreams
What's your favorite dream?
I-I-I I have a continuous reoccurring dream
[Verse 1]
I've opened doors in my life that
I can't close, I don't regret it
The avenues that I traveled will forever
Forever, forever, forever
Influence my existence though
You know I can't uh, I can't sleep
Between like 3 and 4am 'cause that's when it happens
They're here at like 3am everyday
And they stay for like an hour
They move my curtains, they turn on water in the bathroom
They sit next to me on the couch, y'know they
They tryna scare me, but it doesn't work
I'm not afraid, but when you sleep, when you sleep
You don't have the option to not be afraid anymore
And in this realm that's really your only defense
Like the conscience thought that you are not afraid is the only thing that you can do to
Combat them, so when I sleep I'm defenseless, uh
Just like anybody else would be, um, so yeah that's when they get at me
Uh, they don't do anything, they take advantage of my inability to protect myself
And know that I wake up like sweating, crying, gasping for breath
Like y-you know a-and I struggle to wake up they don't just want to let me go
It's, uh, it's a real struggle they *coughing* sorry, they, uh
They hold me in this state of paralysis for as long as they can
And when I come out of it I'm left with this feeling
This awful fucking feeling, that I can't even like describe
I don't think there's, I-I don't think there's probably words for it
But I'm plagued, uh, by that feeling for the entire day
Like I'm, I'm just angry, you know, uh, I'm not angry at them, i-it's not them
That made me mad it's, like I'm mad at myself for, for
Giving them the opportunity to, to do that, you know
Bad Dream Mad Again
