The Stylophone Accompaniment Record & Tune Book (side 1 – Traditional Tunes) Dübreq Stylophone discs
Hello there, Rolf here. How are you getting along with your stylophone? [Quick keyboard sting.] Haha! They're great little things, aren't they? I've had tremendous fun with mine. I take it all over the world with me. Use it in cabaret. Use it for mucking about. Use it for composing tunes. They're terrific!
Anyway... Um, what was I going to say? Oh yeah! Ever since the stylophone came out, we've had thousands of letters and phonecalls asking for tune books. Well, to be honest – we've been so busy making stylophones, that we just haven't had time for anything else. [Puts on English accent:] However, be that as it may... We've gone and done one for yas mate! Oh! Ah! [Makes animal noises.] Ahaha!
Not only have we produced a book of tunes... We've also produced this lovely record of traditional tunes, so that you can play your stylophone to the accompaniment of professional musicians. Anyway, enough from me. Let's get on with it.
Ooh, one thing before I go. Just to make sure we're all in tune with each other – I'm going to play a top A on my stylophone, and I suggest you tune your stylophone up to this A. If you switch off the vibrato... Uh, the next note you hear will be my A, and you can tune yourself up with it. Okay? Have fun then.
[A tone plays.]
[This is followed by organ and guitar backing arrangements for:
• Drink to Me Only
• On Top of Old Smokey
• Comin' Thru the Rye
• Skater's Waltz
The record ends at the close of the last song.]
