John tells of a vision
He saw a holy city built by God
The gates there are open all day
But there is no night
The Lamb of God is the light

He saw a new city coming down
The new Jerusalem
Wouldn't you like to know what John saw
He saw twelve gates of pearl
He saw jasper walls
And one day, I'll see what John saw

Fifteen hundred miles high

Oh, what a city in the sky
