MARGARET
Everything shifts
It starts so simply
A simple question
“Tell me how it ends,” then
Everything shifts
A new position
Shadows aren’t as heavy
As they used to be
A deeper breath, a bigger stretch
A new kind of belief
A meal to share, someone that’s there
When you require relief
All are gifts
All of this
The radiance is frightening
Often hard to understand
But since I started to welcome it
As part of who I am
It’s been еasier to control
More powerful to wiеld
If I stay the course
Then all things will be revealed
And now it seems that I can move
A satellite with my mind
And apparently, my friend can move us
Anywhere in time
She spoke to me of home
Like I knew what that was
It’s given me conviction
In this adventure because
Everything shifts
A new perspective
By embracing the road
I have lightened the load
Even with rifts
We’ll stick together
Every mile and minute
Forges our true spirit
A Sun, a moon, a Brigadoon
A hoax in ink or pen
A sphere, a ramp, a city or camp
Will prosper even when
Everything drifts
We’ll still have this
Everything shifts
