Growing Cold (The Canyons) - Ian Noe
[Verse 1]
Another season's harvest
Has come and gone again
Daddy's in the ground now
And winter's in the wind
But there ain't much left to hold to
Just the fields where cattle track
So I'm leaving from this old farm
And I don't think I'll be back

[Verse 2]
The rain falls cold this morning
But you know that's fine with me
For as long as I've cared to remember
It's been good company
Easing my mind from the burdens
Of this empty nowhere town
Where I've spent many years just praying
For the river to take it down

[Verse 3]
I think back to those lost friends
And the good times, we had a few
And I know we could head down for the south fork
And lay out like we used to do
But I just don't feel the same now
Comin' down this road
But I guess those days are past me
Lord I guess I'm growing cold
