Just because the doors are open
In the building where we meet
Doesn't mean the lost and lonely
Can find the love they need
It takes people of compassion
Whose hearts are open wide
So that the hurting ones can know
That God's love waits inside

We can reach out to the homeless
Give them shelter from the storm
Offer water to the thirsty
Give God's joy to those who mourn
